Digital Light Camp

We're forming a small camp at Burnign Man. The theme is Digital Light. This will be expressed in at least two ways -- more are welcome. We'll be a satellite camp of Oregon Country Fair Embassy Camp. Here is their organizing page. It's estimated that joining the OCF kitchen pool will cost $50 for the week.

Computerized Light Show

With luck, John Wharton will come to burning man, and bring his large computer controlled light system...

Digital Photography

Brad Templeton will show some of his digitally constructed photos of Burning Man, including an incredible 24 foot long, photo quality resolution (33000 by 1600 pixels at 200dpi) 360 degree panorama of all of Black Rock City 1999 and 1998. Other shots will also be on display. You can see them on the computer screen at this site but you can only capture the full effect by seeing it all at once at the camp.

Other displays of digital photography will be around as well.

We'll also be taking another shot, and will attempt to organize one shot that will be a "group photo" of everybody at Burning Man by getting people to gather around a tower.

Time Lapse Movie

We may also try another time lapse movie.

Other ideas on the theme of digital light (or off the theme -- we're flexible) are welcome.
