Avoid Jan Fey of Aqua Enterprises as a pool service

I used Jan Fey ("feyviator") of Aqua Enterprises in Sunnyvale CA as my weekly pool service for a year, mostly because of price, but I was never pleased with the quality of her work. In the summer of 2009, while under her care the pool developed what I would call a rather big algae bloom while I was away on a trip. This should not have happened in the first place in my view, but the pool remained green into October, wiping out most of the warm season. When I demanded she fix it, she bailed out, leaving me with a green pool and refusing my requests for a refund.

In spite of her many protestations about how hard it was to fix the problem, I hired another pool service. In 2 days with quick visits, the new service had the pool clear and sparkling. I have come to the opinion that Ms. Fey was simply incompetent at pool service.
