Burning Man 2011

Burning Man 2010 was again lower key for us. We camped on the 9 o'clock plaza, but probably will want to switch elsewhere in future. While some of the community is nice, and the power is nice, the traffic is moderate and they always place dance camps that do not understand they are not on 2 or 10.

The phone booth returned but mostly due to Brent, but the photo wall was back in force.

For more information on Burning Man in general, check out my essays of prior years and my Panorama Intro Page and my 2011 Panorama page which features gigapixel shots and some new targets like Critical Tits.

You can read a recent essay on thoughts on the nature of Burning Man.

Are you in here?

If you're in one of these shots naked and don't want to be, let me know and I'll see if I can find an alternate or blur you. I wasn't always able to get permission on group shots.

Photography & The Wall

Photos again were taken mostly with the Canon 5d Mark II and Canon IX 870. Most panos shot with my 50mm prime and the 70-200 zoom. We moved away from using the liquid laminated prints to a new lamination house for one side of the wall, and used the regular vinyl on the outward curve of the wall, where it clings and thus provides a good view -- though it did turn out to stick to the black a bit.
